Alberta Immigration Nominee Program
AINP
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program was created at the same time as the PNP of other Canadian states.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is an economic immigration program that nominates individuals for permanent residence in Alberta. The nominee must have the skills and ability to fill a shortage of jobs in Alberta and be able to settle with their family in the province.
A person nominated under this program can apply for permanent residency for themselves and their family. The federal government makes the final decision on the PR application. The Alberta Immigration Office is also the largest immigration agency in the province. It handles the entry of foreign immigrants into the state on PR visas.
Note: Alberta has recently changed the rules for the immigration application for dependent children. The minimum age for the dependent children category has been changed to below 22 years from 19 years. This change is applicable for all the applications received on or after 24th October 2017.
