This category is for immigrants who have expressed an interest in living and working in PEI when applying through the federal Express Entry Pool. Nominees in this category must be in one of the federal government’s economic classes and have skills and experience that match the current workforce needs of the province of PEI.

This pathway allows foreign workers and recent graduates to apply for nomination through PEI’s labour impact streams. This gives those who are already working for PEI employers the opportunity to qualify for PR.The breakdown of the labour impact stream is as follows
Skilled Workers in PEI: This stream is for qualified workers who are eligible to work in PEI and have received a job offer from a PEI employer.
Skilled workers outside of Canada: This stream is for skilled workers outside of Canada who have received a job offer from an employer in Prince Edward Island.
Critical Workers: This category is for foreign nationals who have already received a job offer and are working in Prince Edward Island. You must have a work permit to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
International graduate stream : This category allows employers in Prince Edward Island to select foreign graduates of recognized universities and colleges on the island. Candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 55. A valid graduate work permit is required, as well as an adequate command of English or French.

The PEI Nominee Program takes two to five weeks. It can take up to six to eight months for the Federal Government of Canada to complete the process.
