Super Visa
The Super Visa Program allows parents and grandparents to enter Canada as long-term visitors. Once accepted into this program, they are granted a multi-entry tourist visa that is valid for two years at a time and can last up to ten years, eliminating the need to renew their tourist visas every six months. To get a super visa for parents and grandparents, you can apply online or in writing. You will also need to meet certain requirements in order to apply.
To apply for a Parent and Grandparent Super Visa, you must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you must be admitted to Canada, and you must meet certain other conditions.
A parent or grandparent may be eligible for a multiple-entry visa for up to 10 years, depending on their individual circumstances. The Parent and Grandparent Super Visa allows eligible parents and grandparents to visit family members in Canada for up to two years without the need to renew their status.
Immigration will take several things into consideration before determining whether you are eligible to enter Canada. You are a genuine visitor to Canada and must leave at the end of your visit. At the time of application, Immigration will consider the following factors:
- Your connection to your home country
- Purpose of your visit
- Your family and economic situation
- The economic and political stability of your country
- An invitation from your host family
- Proof that your child or grandchild in Canada meets the minimum income standards.
- Provide a written statement that their child or grandchild will provide financial support to you.
- Have valid medical insurance coverage in Canada for at least one year.
- Undergo a medical examination by an immigration officer.
Our Canada Immigration Services include a variety of options where you can choose between full representation, final review and a do-it-yourself package. If you have any questions, you can book a consultation to speak with an immigration consultant.
